Gelid means very cold or icy, and desu is basically a fullstop in Japanese - you use it after everything. So sometimes I like putting it after english words. It tickles my fancy. You are not slow desu! :)

After sleeping in for a very reasonable amount of time, and after a fine breakfast of seafoam pancakes and coffee, you venture out with the sun on your back and a great many ideas in your pocket. Each moment of the day unfurls like a pearl of tea, like a bright white spring bloom or a well timed umbrella, until the night comes and slumber creeps politely, and you look up to the sky and see that All Your Stars Are Out.
